Hatch is an employability programme, run in partnership with KFC, which provides workshops and paid work experience placements for young people aged 16-25 who are not in education employment or training, or are at risk of being so.
Are you a young person who wants support to find employment? Or are you an organisation wishing to offer work placements for young people? Find your local Hatch Hub on the map below to find out how you can get involved.
Hatch 2022-23 is being delivered in the following areas:
Manchester, Greater Manchester, Wigan, Blackburn and Burnley
Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the Black Country
Reading, Slough and Southampton
We are always looking for local employers to offer work experience in the Hatch areas. Work experience payment for the young people is provided through the programme funding. If you would like to offer work experience, contact your closest Hatch Hub from the map below.
If you are looking for work but don’t know where to start, find your local Hatch provider and get in touch to join the programme.
Delivery of Hatch workshops and work experience will begin in March 2023 and end in November 2023. Young people will complete 15-20 hours of employment workshops with their local youth organisation and 4 weeks of paid work experience for 16 hours a week. This timeline shows the journey of a young person and the estimated dates for each group.
