The UK Youth Fund is a three-year grant programme delivered in partnership with Pears Foundation, supporting small youth and outdoor learning organisations in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The UK Youth Fund aims to provide meaningful financial support alongside organisational development opportunities, enabling more small youth organisations to remain stable and deliver the consistent, inclusive youth work that young people depend on. Our goal is to expand the reach and quality of youth work across the UK, at a time when safe, dependable spaces for young people are needed more than ever.

The UK Youth – Cost of Living Fund delivered with generous support from the Pears Foundation, was a £5 million, three-year unrestricted grant fund provided initially to 184 youth organisations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The aim of the fund was to ensure that youth organisations could continue to offer high quality youth work to young people during a challenging economic climate. The Cost-of-Living Fund has provided much needed financial stability to small youth organisations (with an annual income of less than £500,000 per year) during this time, ensuring they offer a range of quality youth work provision that continues to develop young people’s social and emotional skills.

The UK Youth Fund: Thriving Minds was an ambitious three-year fund that supported youth organisations and partnerships working to improve mental health support and provision for young people. Supported by a £10m investment from The Julia Rausing Trust (formerly known as The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust) and an additional £1 million from the Westminster Foundation, the fund provided grants of up to £50,000 per year for three years to 99 charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK. Through three years of delivering Thriving Minds, we have generated a huge amount of insight into the unique role that youth work plays in improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing outcomes. We are now sharing that learning through tools and resources – as well as insights from the wider sector – with our Network, partners, and practitioners.
