The Avon Tyrrell Capital Appeal aims to build a brighter future for our young people.
Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre, UK Youth’s outdoor learning centre in the New Forest, is committed to the ongoing growth of young people through personal development and life skills, providing equitable access to outdoor learning, and promoting physical literacy.
We are seeking £6.4 million to invest in an Experiential Learning and Sports Centre at Avon Tyrrell and deliver a significant restoration to the original Grade I-listed calendar house built in 1891, which is rich in history and heritage.
Manor House Restorations
We have been delivering outdoor learning for 76 years at Avon Tyrrell and investing in the capital appeal means protecting the house and expanding the centre for future generations to enjoy it.
Experiential Learning and Sports Centre
The new learning centre will allow us to provide outdoor learning indoors when the weather causes disruption. This new centre will include:
- Indoor badminton and football courts;
- Climbing wall;
- Indoor archery;
- Café and kitchen.
With an events space and conference centre too, our site will add value for the whole New Forest community and beyond.
