“I stand for truth — each morning we can either sleep with our dreams or wake up and chase them.” – Beyan, #iWill ambassador
#iWill Week is our annual celebration of the power of young people to shape their communities and society through social action. This year, we’re asking one powerful question: “What do you stand for?
In a world that can sometimes feel uncertain and divided, young people across the UK continue to show what hope and action look like. They’re standing up for truth, dignity, justice, community and joy, the five themes shaping this year’s campaign. And proving every day that youth social action can transform lives and drive lasting change.
At UK Youth, we’re proud to be part of this movement, powered by young voices and collective purpose. #iWill Week reminds us that when young people lead, our communities thrive.
Youth voices leading the way
“I stand for inclusive and accessible spaces for all no matter the room — because every young person deserves to belong in decision-making spaces.” – Samuela, #iWill ambassador
From local volunteering to national strategy, young people are stepping up and speaking out about the issues that matter most to them. As part of the Deliver You campaign, powered by UK Youth in partnership with Volunteering Matters, My Life My Say and Savanta, over 14,000 young people helped shape the upcoming National Youth Strategy.
For Georgina, one of our Youth Collaborators, the most powerful moment came during a Hack Event in Bristol:
“Hearing young people speak openly about their lived experience of community and mental health was so powerful. Their honesty and passion highlighted the importance of creating safe spaces where young people feel heard and able to shape real change.”
Thomas, another collaborator, reflected on his role supporting communications and events:
“I’ve helped shape the #DeliverYour campaign’s communications, designed and led focus groups, and organised events such as Democracy Cafés and Hackathons. I also supported the analysis and synthesis of research.”
And for Lara, the energy of younger participants stood out most:
“Facilitating a workshop with participants as young as 12 was incredible. They knew exactly what they wanted from the NYS, thanks to their lived experiences, and communicated it so effectively. It gives me great hope that the future is in incredibly safe hands.”

“I stand for ensuring that young people’s voices shape the services and programmes designed for them.” – Claire, #iWill ambassador
Throughout the week, we’ll be celebrating with activities, events and social takeovers across the UK — check out the #iWill Week events calendar to get involved.

We’re also working to understand the key trends in youth work, and this month we’re asking everyone to share their thoughts on social action and what drives them to make a difference. Keep an eye on our channels for more videos and stories from young people across the UK sharing what they stand for.
#iWill Week is a powerful reminder of why this work matters. The future isn’t something being written for young people; it’s being created by them.
