Solving the cost of living crisis is not easy. But easing its impact on young people can be. We need to invest in youth work.
Introducing our Big Give Christmas Challenge – launching 29th November.
UK Youth has recently published new research which proves the value of investing in youth work.
Youth work already provides vital support to so many young people around the UK. In the cost of living crisis it is stepping in even more than before, and support for youth work needs to step up.
760 youth centres have already closed since 2010, and the current dramatic increases in the prices of energy, fuel, food and materials are widely understood.
We need you to help us fund youth work and keep #LightsOnForYouth.
Youth work facilities and staff are struggling now; with everything from the price of minibus hire, to the cost of essential maintenance to keep their toilets running.
Young people are increasingly looking to their local youth centre for necessities including hot food, somewhere warm to do homework, or somewhere affordable to charge their phone.
Currently every donation means more, and by pledging your support to our upcoming Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match funding campaign, your donation can go further.
From 29th November (#GivingTuesday) to 6th December all donations to our Christmas Challenge will be generously matched by Cosy Club and the Childhood Trust.
One donation, twice the impact.
If you would like to support our work this year, we highly recommend doing so during the Christmas Challenge, when your donation will make even more of a difference.
