Road crashes are one of the biggest killers of young people in the UK and worldwide. Less than one in 12 licence holders is under 25, yet one in five fatal crashes involve a driver of this age.

We know how important it is to empower young people to make smart choices and decisions when driving themselves or when being driven by another young person so we created a programme to give young people the vital information they need to make these choices.

About the programme

Road Code, developed and funded by the UPS Foundation, teaches 13-19 year olds about road hazards and gives them the confidence to speak up in potentially dangerous driving situations.  With 90% of the young people on this course saying that they developed road safety skills and understanding that they hadn’t been taught elsewhere we wanted to know how our members are engaging young people with road safety.

So launching this #RoadSafetyWeek and running until 14th December – we are calling out to all members:  How are you engaging young people to be aware of road safety and to raise awareness of the potential dangers?

Send us the creative ways you’re getting your young people interested by #UPSRoadCode and tagging us in your posts on Facebook and Twitter and you could win a Logitech Driving Force G920 Racing Wheel with responsive pedals, RRP £199.99.

The winner will be randomly selected and all decisions made by UK Youth will be final
