The charity is embarking on an exciting journey of transformation as we implement an ambitious new strategy, underpinned by our People First mantra. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will work with the CEO and wider leadership and management team, leading on the development and implementation of our People First Strategy.
The core of the role is to provide excellent strategic HR advice and guidance on the full range of people issues including:
• Culture and EDI
• Recruitment and on-boarding
• Organisational development and talent management,
• Reward, recognition, compensation and benefits
• Performance, disciplinary, grievance and capability issues
• People analytics.
• Policies and procedures
• Employee engagement and staff well-being.
As an experienced, motivated and independently minded leader, you will be able to act on your own initiative and be a confident, authentic and credible communicator. You’ll need to be comfortable working at pace, often on multiple day to day operating tasks at the same time using your excellent analytical, problem solving and influencing skills. Acting as a coach to all levels of management, you will play a key role in embedding best practice in people management and shaping the culture of the organisation. Above all, you will share our passion for making a difference to the lives of Young people.
You’ll also be responsible for managing and developing a small team currently comprised of an HR Administrator, and Office Manager and overseeing the day to day running of our London office
You will be able to work at a high level both within UK Youth and with our charity and corporate partners, have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to travel away from home on occasion to meet operational needs.

This role will be located at our new Head Office in Westminster, although due to the current ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the role will initially be home-based.

The salary for this role is £38,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience however other benefits include:
