Events Manager

UK Youth are recruiting an Events Manager to join our passionate, dynamic and energetic Partnerships & Fundraising Team.

As Events Manager you will manage the events team and be responsible for UK Youth’s calendar of fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events, securing income in excess of £500,000 each year.

Founded in 1911, UK Youth provides young people aged 8-25 with high quality services, delivered through a network of locally accessible youth organisations across the UK. Together we offer support, advice and training to over 1.5 million young people to equip them with skills for the future and help them engage in education, volunteering and employment. Our mission is to provide access to appropriate, high quality services for young people in every community so that all young people are empowered to build bright futures, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Our work engages young people most in need of support with 86% of the young people on our programmes facing at least one barrier to progress and over half living in some of the most deprived areas of the UK. Thanks to high quality youth work delivered by a trusted adult in a local safe space, 64% of our young people report improved key life skills after engaging with our skills development programmes.

This is an exciting time to join the fundraising team at UK Youth as we look to build on our success and grow our impact. UK Youth already has a portfolio of successful fundraising events including our flagship annual Gala Dinner and innovative Art for Youth London exhibition. We also deliver a range of cultivation and stewardship events to help grow our network of supporters. Our events are attended by a range of our individual supporters and corporates partners including well-known brands such as Oliver Bonas, Microsoft, UPS, Coca Cola European Partners, Lloyds Banking Group and PwC to name a few.

We are looking for a high performing Events Manager who will play a key role in delivering high quality events. You will manage a small events team and work closely with volunteer committees to ensure the successful delivery of a portfolio of events throughout the year. You will be target driven and be a skilled and personable manager; excel at developing internal and external networks and feel confident in communicating to a variety of audiences.

In return for your expertise, experience, initiative and drive, we can offer you a friendly, supportive, vibrant environment, and genuinely interesting work within an ambitious charity with a proud history and an exciting future.
