Join our #ReadMoreMarch challenge and lose yourself in the world of reading this March. From novels to articles we want you to expand your reading horizons and explore the power of the written word, whilst raising money to build brighter futures for young people across the UK.
Research shows that when people are encouraged to read they not only improve their reading and writing abilities but it helps to reduce stress, provides escapism, and helps to build confidence, empathy and social/cultural awareness.
Here at UK Youth our mission is to ensure that all young people are equipped to thrive and are empowered to contribute at every stage of their lives. We are therefore celebrating the powerful role that diverse reading plays in young people’s lives through this fundraising challenge.
The Challenge
To take part all you have to do is sign up to the Facebook challenge here and complete the reading checklist below during the month of March:
You can read whatever you like, so long as you complete the checklist by the end of the month. Can’t decide what to read? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We have compiled reading lists from UK Youth staff team to ensure you have plenty of ideas to keep you going – check out our reading lists here.
Ask friends and family to sponsor you along your reading journey with the aim of raising as much as you can. The money you raise will go towards helping young people from all backgrounds discover a world of possibilities and create the future they deserve.
