Youth Achievement Foundations

Our Youth Achievement Foundations operate right around the country. Hover over the map for information about each of them.

Youth Achievement Foundations are small independent schools that use UK Youth's non-formal curriculum to cater to the needs of young people excluded or at risk of exclusion.  These Foundations (YAFs) re-engage students through small group work and one-to-one teaching.

This robust and proven approach enables students to reduce risky behaviour, build self-esteem and improve attendance (students arrive with an average attendance record of 30% which rises to above 80% in the Foundation environment).  The positive outcomes achieved by students have been evidenced and analysed by Teesside University.  Click here for the report

The map above shows the twelve YAFs currently in operation around the country. The programme has secured fresh funding to expand the network further over the next year.
