Introduction to Junior Achievement Awards

This training is aimed at anyone who is new to or currently considering delivering the Junior Achievement Award with young people. It should be emphasised that attendance at an introductory training day is a basic requirement for delivering the Junior Achievement Award.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
· understand what the Junior Achievement Award is and who it is aimed at
· identify the benefits of the Junior Achievement Award for children and workers
· assist young people to identify and plan their challenges
· assist and support young people in gathering evidence and portfolio building
· work within operational and administrative guidelines
· understand the Award group process
· understand the process of internal moderation and the assessment processes for the Junior Youth Achievement Award.
· understand the relationship to the other levels of the Youth Challenges and Youth Achievement Awards.
Places on this course are limited ensure that the training day is an effective one. Places are available on a strictly first come, first served basis.
