Support Materials for Portfolio Building
Get Going Toolkit
Get Going! is a new resource developed to support young people taking part in a structured learning programme such as the Youth Achievement Awards. It provides tips and information on producing a Personal Development Plan.
The resource, which has been produced by Daron Oram is written in the style of a workbook so young people can build it up as they progress through, and when completed it can be used as evidence towards their first Platinum challenge.

Toolkit
The Toolkit is a set of worksheets to help young people collect evidence and build portfolios these sheets are produced in word and a picture/symbols format. To download the Toolkit, please click here
Support Materials for Challenges
Challenge Certificate
The Award Group should present their peers with their Challenge certificate once they feel that the challenge and the evidence is complete. These can then be included with the young person's portfolio. The certificates give young people a feeling of progression and achievement on what can sometimes seem like quite a long haul of a commitment. We recommend that you print the certificates onto card of a minimum of 120 grams density.
Please note we also have ready-printed challenge certificates available for purchase in packs of 50. You can obtain these by contacting Kerry Pedder at UK Youth.
Sample Challenges
The following links contain sample challenges that were created by UK Youth and sample challenges from portfolios that were completed by young people.
