Steps to the Future – Young Mothers Project

Steps to the Future Project is working to influence provision to support young mothers engagement in education.

The project consisted of three elements:

• a demonstration programme to show how young mothers, sometimes with poor education history, can chieve Young Mothers Learning OCN accreditation at levels entry one and two
• Advice, which is given by young mothers advisory groups who share their knowledge and experience with support agencies in order to increase service's ability to support young mothers' access to education
• Training for workers working with young mothers.
