Vision not Division –

Learning for all in the 21st Century

UK Youth, FutureLab and St Georges House, supported by The Royal Society of Arts, are hosting an international conference at St Georges House, Windsor Castle on 18th-20th November 2009.

This major consultation focuses on the increasingly significant contribution that non-formal learning is likely to have to play in the future provision of education and learning in the 21st Century. We are bringing together senior figures who have a professional interest in the world of non-formal learning. The purpose of the consultation is two-fold:

to build a coalition to work to promote the contribution that non-formal education could make to improving inclusive education provision for young people.

to shape an action plan that will generate the changes needed to enable that contribution to be included and valued.

To achieve these aims we will bring together inspirational thinkers, practitioners, policy makers and promoters of education services who will discuss and debate the relevance and value of non-formal education in a number of areas.

Although the Windsor Conference is invitation only, we want you to take part, participate in the debate and engage with the key speakers. As such, we have set up a number of social media platforms where you can follow the conference, add your comments and ask your questions:
