Focusing on young people’s participation, inclusion and achievement this major conference ‘Youth-led Delivery Solutions’ will be held on 3 October 2007 at One Great George Street, Westminster, London.
Supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, UK Youth has undertaken major research across England enabling targeted groups of young people to have their say through developing their own agenda and curriculum.
This event is for anyone working in services that assist young people to meet the Every Child Matters outcomes.
Delegates will benefit from a packed day of case-study presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and network opportunities with policy makers, practice deliverers and young people who participated in the action research.
Six key themes run through the programme:
- Youth Voice
- Young Fatherhood
- Better Place to Live
- Action for Change – disabled and non disabled young people
- Steps to the Future – young mothers learning
- Refugee young people
Six curriculum toolkits that offer 10 week long programme outlines, activities, evaluation techniques and accreditation options have been developed, trialled by young people for other youth people and published. The toolkits will be available on the day.
