New York Marathon

There are few experiences like running the ING New York City Marathon.

The course goes over five bridges, through five different boroughs and attracts a crowd of two million spectators, who line the course, making this an event that you most definitely should not miss.

From the buzz of the early morning arrival by bus on Staten Island where 35,000 runners nervously wait for the start, to the finish in Central Park, your emotions work overtime as you take in the sights and sounds of one of the world’s most vibrant cities.

NY Runners

This week as part of UK Youth’s events programme six of our supporters take on this amazing personal challenge as they head off to New York to take part in the 2007 New York Marathon.

Whilst UK Youth has been involved in the London Marathon for a number of years, this will be the first year the charity has been involved in the New York race.

We would like to wish Andy, Steve, Kev, Anne, Ester and Chris all the best for race day and look forward to hearing their stories and achievements on their return.
