UK Youth is to receive a substantial £750,000 grant from the DCSF, (Department for Children, Schools and Families) for its new three year 'Movers and Shapers' Programme.
UK Youth ‘Movers and Shapers’ programme will give disadvantaged young people aged 13-19, unprecedented support to pursue excellence in the provision of life impacting key services.
The programme will build the capacity in UK Youth and its networks to support 95 young people to seek the views of over 1,500 young people, to use these views to develop, pilot and disseminate new models of collaboration with 24 public and private service providers. These will include health care, education, parenting agencies and UK Youth itself.
It will provide 75,000 young people opportunities to achieve Every Child Matters outcomes via 4,000 improved services and 8,000 up-skilled workers across England.
