Social Media Executive
UK Youth is looking for an energetic and creative Social Media Executive to promote the inspiring work UK Youth does online. You will help oversee all UK Youth’s social media channels, which currently have over 35 million followers across platforms, to help raise the profile of our organisation in the digital space.
UK Youth is one of the largest youth charities in the UK, with a reach of over 700,000 young people every year, an illustrious 105 year history and a strong portfolio of national programmes in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. With the charity entering a new phase of development and growth, this is an exciting time to join the organisation.
Working within a small Comms team, your aim will be to assist with the planning and execution of social media and the creation of sharable content across all online channels. We are looking for someone with an ability to write engaging and informative copy, who is passionate about all things digital, is web savvy and has an interest in online behaviour.
Great written and verbal communications skills alongside excellent planning and organisation skills are essential, as is a faultless eye for detail. Basic photo editing skills are desirable but not essential.
You should be a creative thinker with a passion for the youth sector, able to work independently but also enjoy working within a busy but friendly team.
Contract: Fixed Term (6 or 12 months)
Salary: £18,330 pa
Hours: 37.5 hpw Monday to Friday
