The team heard about UK Youth through Magnus Backstedt, a Vice President of the Charity, who is also a vital part of the Team UK Youth pro-cycling team.  When they decided that this year's 24 hour Disco Trackathon would raise money to support UK Youth of course Magnus insisted in taking part and even bought some of the other Team UK Youth members along with him.  The event took place on the November 5th.

They cycled solidly for 24 hours on the Calshot track and in doing so ensured a fantastic donation of £2,000 from this original way to raise money.

UK Youth would like to thank all the riders, including those teams from Chippenham Wheelers, New Forest CC, Poole Wheelers, Birmingham CC, Team Midland Racing, VC St Raphael and Grand Masters and all of the 40 riders who took part.  Each rider pushed themselves to bring the total to an impressive 4,085 miles during the 24 hours.
