Introduction to Peer Qualifications Programme

This one day training will introduce the new QCA qualification, Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Award and Certificate in Peer Education and Peer Mentoring to youth workers and non-formal educators.

The qualifications give young people the opportunity to explore their understanding of peer education or peer mentoring, including the roles and responsibilities involved in being a peer mentor or peer educator. Young people will explore and develop their own skills and qualities that will help them become either a peer educator or peer mentor.

The training aims to give an overview of the qualifications and how they could fit into your peer education and mentoring projects. This training is aimed at those workers who have a practical knowledge of working with peer education or peer mentoring projects and would like to explore how the qualifications could fit into these.
