UK Youth work hand in hand with young people, and the organisations supporting them, to develop the skills, belief, courage and leadership to build bright futures.
Over many years UK Youth has built up an impressive portfolio of exciting and innovative events, including our renowned Gala Dinner and ‘Art for Youth’ exhibition in the Mall Galleries. These are supported by a network of corporates and committed individuals, and we are now seeking an ambitious, pro-active and energetic person to work with our Events Manager and Consultants in coordinating these major high profile activities, and to continue to build on our success to date. As part of a small but influential team you will play an essential role in the success of our work and the charity.
You will need to be educated to degree level or have a relevant qualification, and experience in events organising and office administration, either in a paid or volunteering capacity. But more important than any qualifications will be your excellent attention to detail, your positive attitude, first-rate organisation and planning skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Skills and Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience in events organising and office administration (volunteering and/or paid)
- Experience managing large spreadsheets and work to project plans
- Experience of working in a busy and deadline driven work environment
- Extremely organized, with good time management skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
- Able to build relationships quickly and effectively
- Ability to work methodically and accurately with excellent attention to detail
Contract: Fixed term until mid-January 2018
Salary: £19,012 pa (pro rata)
