Art for Youth London - Thanks a Million
In 2012 - thanks to its sponsor, supporter, “angels”, artists, buyers, bidders, prize donators, mystery art purchasers and volunteer helpers - Art for Youth London raised over £100,000 for UK Youth. Its financial support has directly affected the lives of thousands of young people throughout the UK. The exhibition has also become a serious art event in London.
Some of the comments this year were: “totally amazing- extraordinary…”, “better than the summer exhibition…” "an event to be noted in the Art world….”
The Wates Foundation Diana Brooks Prize for 2012 was won by Alice Shirley. You can read more about her and view here work on the Art for Youth website on where there is a videa of Alice, drawing a gigantic squid at the Natural History Museum.
Please join us in 2013 when Art for Youth London will be held at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, SW7 2EU on Wednesday, 20 November and Thursday, 21 November.
