UK Youth has an Exciting Opportunity for a ‘Director of National Programmes’ (Maternity Cover up to 12 months)
There’s never been a more exciting time to join UK Youth, after a period of expansion and rejuvenation we are capitalising on our success and we are looking for an inspirational leader to join our senior management team reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for our portfolio of thematic programmes, delivering life skills to young people across the country. This role is for Maternity Cover for up to 12 months and will be based at our London Office in Islington.
UK Youth is the largest national body for the youth sector. Founded in 1911, our growing network of youth organisations now reaches over 830,000 young people aged 9-25 across the UK. Our mission is to work hand in hand with young people – and the dedicated organisations supporting them – to develop the skills, belief, courage and leadership to build a bright future, regardless of background or circumstances.
Responsible for a vital part of our portfolio you will continue to grow and develop our strong range of corporate and government backed national programmes. With in-house support you will have responsibility for the design and implementation of a wide range of initiatives delivered through our network of regional associations and community based youth organisations
We constantly strive to innovate, seeking new ways of doing things and become more efficient. This approach enables us to deliver effective large scale programmes to tackle widespread issues, alongside intense, long term interventions and exciting experimental projects. Our job is to listen to young people and deliver what they need.
