Partnerships & Development Manager


UK Youth have numerous exciting long-term relationships with large corporate supporters such as Lloyds Banking Group and Microsoft, and major charitable trusts and foundations such as the Big Lottery Fund and Esmeé Fairbairn. We are looking for a pro-active and motivated person to join our dynamic income generation team, to be responsible for building on our past and current successes.

The Development Manager will report into the Head of Partnerships and Development and will line manage the Partnerships Executive.  They will work closely with an energetic team in a fast-paced environment to increase UK Youth’s portfolio of funders and generate new multi-year sources of income.

You will prioritise opportunities; cultivate funders; manage relationships; complete Trust, Foundation and Corporate applications; ensure a consistent, high quality and coordinated approach; and contribute to the production of inspiring funder reports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Successful track record of fundraising and bid writing for Trusts and Foundations
  • Experience of funder cultivation, from prospecting stage to securing gift
  • Experience of working in a busy and deadline driven work environment
  • Ability to engage staff across the organization to assist in fundraising
  • Ability to operate across a number of different fundraising areas
  • Able to build relationships quickly and effectively
  • Highly developed written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy when completing complex projects

Salary:  circa £35,000 pa

Location:  London
