UK Youth and Aiimi celebrate City Giving Day

UK Youth is thrilled to celebrate City Giving Day (27th September) with our corporate partner Aiimi.

The day will see the Lord Mayor champion positive charity and community activities that companies and organisations undertake in the City of London.

Aiimi will be using the day to celebrate and promote their three year partnership with UK Youth.

Over the past few years, Aiimi has provided a variety of fundraising support to UK Youth. Their staff have taken part in 10k runs, skydives and helped to organise our Gala Dinner. They have also given their expertise and skills to improve UK Youth’s internal operations and ran digital skills workshops at one of UK Youth’s local youth groups, Sulgrave Youth Club.

Aiimi are now looking to increase the support they provide UK Youth by becoming a volunteer partner for our new coding programme, Generation Code, funded by Microsoft. Aiimi volunteers will be inspiring young people in local communities to engage with coding, providing them with a real sense of achievement and increasing their outlook for future career and education pathways.

To mark City Giving Day, Aiimi will be holding a fundraising Bake Off for UK Youth and a team of volunteers will also be running an inspirational IT workshop at a youth organisation in Hackney to raise young people’s awareness about the positive difference technology can make to society. The young participants will then be given the opportunity to design their own apps to bring about social change.
