“UK Youth is proud to announce the launch of its amazing new programme Change Squad which provides young people from 12-20 years old from rural and disadvantaged background to get involved in social action.
The programme will provide 150 Change Squad teams with up to £400 of funding to enable them to start out on their social action journey and develop fantastic ideas and projects that solve local issues. This will also involve online training which will equip them with the skills they need to plan, promote, budget and deliver a social action project in their local community.
Youth Workers will be key to facilitating and empowering Change Squad teams to develop their ideas and make projects happen, and can claim £200 at the end of the projects for their time.
We want to inspire young people, who most likely haven’t been involved in social action before, to get involved and become a positive force for change in their local communities.
The funding is available to young people specifically living in rural or disadvantaged areas across the South West, West Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside, North East and North West.
The programme is open now so why not sign up and join the social action movement today? Help champion more and more young people to reach out and make a difference to their own lives and the lives of others.
Encourage then to become a Change Squad
