Avon Tyrrell offers an extensive range of inclusive adventure Outdoor Learning programmes and opportunities for young people with tailored programmes for groups and individuals that help young people to develop life skills and confidence to support empowering them to build bright futures.

For Avon Tyrrell, it’s not just about formal learning, but providing informal opportunities that ignite a sense of achievement and inspiration that helps young people reach their full potential, develop character, build resilience and have an opportunity to mature in a very unique unrivalled environment.
We have over 40 different activities ranging from kayaking, climbing, archery, mountain biking and raft building as well as on site accommodation in our unique Grade I listed Calendar House, self-catering lodges and camping there are opportunities for youth organisations, corporate companies, schools and families and friends.
With partnerships, funding from trusts, statutory bodies and foundations we can provides the best programme opportunities for young people to ensure they can 'Experience, Learn and Develop'.

We have a wide range of activities that are designed to encourage young people to experience, learn and develop. From archery to bushcraft, climbing and abseiling to raft building - we have an activity for everyone.
Through varied weekend and holiday programmes, Avon Tyrrell encourages everyone to take part in something new, challenging themselves in order to experience, learn and develop outdoors and discover their potential in new and engaging ways. We provide a safe environment for families to enjoy time together or for young people to enjoy activities with their peers.
Whatever the size of your group, or your budget, we have what you need to have a fantastic and comfortable stay with us. We offer three types of accommodation including rooms in our Avon Tyrrell grade I listed calendar house, 6,12 and 14 berth lodges and camping options.
Our extensive range of outdoor activities and development programmes at Avon Tyrrell provide an informal platform for learning. Teaching young people about communication, team work, self-awareness and resilience, encouraging them to work with and support others. These opportunities help teach young people crucial life skills and how they link to everyday challenges and build character.
At Avon Tyrrell we not only provide development opportunities for the groups that visit but 15% of our workforce are undergoing an apprenticeship. We provide hands on learning for young people to help further develop their careers, an apprenticeship that is one of the highest standards in the UK.
Our EcoHealth project helps support young people with mental health stress getting them back into work. Following training, our apprentices go on to support more young people through different outdoor opportunities and volunteers help maintain and develop the centre so that we can continue to offer a high quality provision for young people in the future.

Each year we successfully provide young people with apprenticeships, traineeships and work experience programmes that support their development, career aspirations, character building and independence.
UK Youth have become experts in delivering powerful development and learning programmes. At our national Activity Centre at Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest, you will find the perfect location to run a Prince’s Trust Residential Programme with the support of the Avon Tyrrell Team.
