Training & fundraising experiences
Started training after the New Year Celebrations with the help of a new fitness watch which was a Christmas present.
Managed to keep up fairly regular running over the last 5 weeks and now racked up 95 miles to date, over 16 hours.
Achieved my longest ever run today (Sunday) clocking up 13.1 miles, so happy I should make a half marathon at least that I have booked at the end of this month as part of the training process.
Need to keep up the miles to work on my stamina as obviously need to run double this for the actual marathon and still definitely hurting over the distance.
About to increase fundraising efforts now but already had some good sponsors so a big thanks to those people so far! Will be reaching out to my friends and family through Facebook tomorrow and hoping my great work colleagues will also contribute as some already have, all is much appreciated and going to a great charity.
Why I've chosen to support UK Youth and what running the London Marathon for UK Youth means to me
It means a lot to be running for such a worthwhile charity such as UK Youth, many young people don’t get the support they need to be successful or progress in life and they are our future so I’m pleased to be running for this charity and I hope we can raise lots of money. I also participated in a rowing event to raise money for a London youth charity called the Ahoy Centre last year so it continues a theme to support our countries young people.

Road Code volunteering for young people
Booked in to do my Road Code session at UPS house this Thursday so looking forward to that!
The ups and downs of my experiences
Well the weathers not been great and of course it hurts to keep running further than you ever have before but I’m enjoying breaking the pain barrier so all ups for me so far!
At weekends Bushy Park is a great place to run round also so will keep on pounding the miles!
